Gaura Purnima honors the celebration of the appearance of Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu, who is a devotee incarnation of Sri Krishna himself. Gaura Purnima falls on the full moon day of the lunar month of Phalguna, and a significant festival for the Vaishnava community with many rituals being performed in temples all around the world. We will honor this day by watching a short film dedicated to Sri Gauranga mahaprabhu, followed by a grand Maha-Abhishekam of their lordships, leading into an ecstatic sankirtan, along with Gaura Katha or a lecture given on the pastimes of Gauranga, all wrapping up with a sumptuous feast dinner.
